About
Roxette was a Swedish pop duo formed in Halmstad in 1986 by singer Marie Fredriksson and singer-songwriter Per Gessle. The band achieved international success in the late 1980s with hits such as "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love" and "Joyride". Over their career the duo sold more than 75 million records, making them one of the most successful Swedish acts of all time. Their partnership came to an end following the death of Marie Fredriksson in December 2019.
