About
Royal & the Serpent is the project of American singer and songwriter Ryan Jillian Santiago, born in 1994 in New Jersey. Her sound blends indie pop, electropop, and pop-punk. She broke through in 2020 with the single "Overwhelmed", which was certified gold in the US and Canada and reached number 6 on the Alternative Airplay chart. After signing with Atlantic Records she released several EPs, including "Get a Grip" and "Searching for Nirvana", and in 2024 contributed the song "Wasteland" to the Arcane: League of Legends season 2 soundtrack. She has toured as a supporting act for Fall Out Boy and Demi Lovato, and her debut studio album "Emptiness is Godly" arrived in 2026.
