About
Shuteen Erdenebaatar is a Mongolian jazz pianist, composer and arranger from Ulaanbaatar. Trained in classical piano and composition in her hometown, she went on to study jazz in Munich, where she is now based. Her debut album "Rising Sun" was released on Motéma Music in 2023, followed in 2025 by "Under the Same Stars", a duo album with Nils Kugelmann. In 2024 she won the German Jazz Award for Ensemble of the Year and was also nominated as Pianist of the Year. She leads her own quartet and a 21-piece chamber jazz orchestra, and has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, JazzBaltica and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, among others.
