Sleaford Mods are an English post-punk duo formed in 2007 in Nottingham, made up of vocalist Jason Williamson and instrumentalist Andrew Fearn, who joined in 2012. Their sound pairs minimalist electronic beats with abrasive, socially charged spoken-word lyrics about austerity, unemployment and working-class life. Williamson's distinctive East Midlands accent sits over Fearn's stripped-back production, drawing on UK rap, trip hop and electro-punk. Albums such as Key Markets (2015) and Spare Ribs (2021) reached the UK top 10.
