small is beautiful is an acoustic trio from Essen in Germany's Ruhr region that has performed in the same lineup for more than two decades. The band consists of Minerva Díaz Pérez (vocals), Jürgen Markus (vocals, guitar) and Johannes Kassenberg (vocals, bass). Using three voices, guitar and bass, they reinterpret pop songs of the last 50 years in stripped-down, acoustic arrangements. Over more than a thousand concerts and events they have recorded five albums, and they regularly play across the Ruhr area including Duisburg, Essen, Oberhausen and Mülheim an der Ruhr.
