Stephen Wilson Jr. is an American country-rock musician born in 1979 in Seymour, Indiana. Before turning to music full-time in 2016, he worked as a scientist in research and development at Mars Inc. while writing songs in Nashville. His debut album "Son of Dad" (2023), inspired by his father's death in 2018, blends country storytelling with grunge and indie influences – a sound he describes as "Death Cab for Country". Signed to Big Loud and BMG, he scored his country-radio breakthrough in 2026 with the single "Gary". His influences range from Nirvana to Willie Nelson.
