The Steve Mandel Band is named after its frontman Steffen Steve Mandel (born 1954) and specializes in rock classics. Mandel, who sings and plays guitar and mandolin, leads the group, which performs mainly in the Eifel region of Germany and in neighbouring Belgium. Beyond music, he is well known as an art and antiques dealer and has been a regular dealer on the German ZDF television show Bares fuer Rares since 2016. He has also worked as an entertainer and director and spent several years in Ireland performing Irish music.
