About
Swallow the Sun is a Finnish melodic death-doom metal band formed in 2000 in Jyväskylä by guitarist Juha Raivio. Their music combines heavy, slow doom passages with melodic death metal and atmospheric, melancholic textures. Fronted by vocalist Mikko Kotamäki, the band has released a series of acclaimed albums over more than two decades. They are considered one of the notable acts in the Finnish doom-metal scene.
