About
Symba, born Adam Sylvain Mabe in 1999, is a Berlin rapper with Cameroonian roots. In 2017 he co-founded the Playboysmafia collective alongside Pashanim, RB and AbuGlitsch. After early SoundCloud releases his breakthrough came in 2020 with “Angels Sippen”, which reached number 13 in Germany and went gold. The EP “Teamboys undso” (2021) followed, then the albums “Symba Supermann” (2023, number 28) and “Liebe & Hass” (2024, number 17). His records set trap production against lyrics that pick apart the clichés of the genre. He has also acted on screen, including in the film “Bibi & Tina – Mädchen gegen Jungs” (2016). On stage he performs with DJ AbuGlitsch, in October 2026 at the New Fall Festival in Düsseldorf.
