Tangerine Dream is a German band founded in 1967 in West Berlin by Edgar Froese and is regarded as a pioneer of electronic music and the so-called Berlin School. In the 1970s, albums such as Phaedra and Rubycon shaped the use of synthesizers and sequencers. The group composed numerous film scores, including for Sorcerer, Thief, Risky Business and Legend. Following Edgar Froese's death in 2015, the band has continued under the leadership of Thorsten Quaeschning and still performs internationally.
