The Autocratics are a ska band from Tokyo formed in 2007 who describe their own style as “Post 2 Tone Ska”. The six-piece line-up features vocals, organ, guitar, bass, drums and tenor saxophone. Their music combines 2 Tone and neo ska with influences from new wave, 1970s punk and Oi. The band tours across Japan and has shared stages with NGOBO NGOBO and NU SPORTS from Germany and SKARFACE from France. Their releases include the albums “31 years from 1979” (2010), “Loyalty to the Convictions” (2011) and “Front Line Of New History” (2012).
