The Dark Tenor is the stage project of singer Billy Andrews, who blends classical music with rock and pop elements into a distinctive crossover sound. He rose to prominence in the mid-2010s through his theatrical performances, appearing for years in a mask and hood before later revealing his face. With more than 260,000 albums sold (gold status), he is among the most successful artists in his genre across the German-speaking world. His concerts regularly take him through Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where he reinterprets popular classical melodies and makes them accessible to a wide audience.
