The Dickies are an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1977, widely regarded as one of the earliest and longest-running acts of the California punk scene. Founded by vocalist Leonard Graves Phillips and guitarist Stan Lee, the band became known for its fast tempos, comedic sensibility and speedy, irreverent cover versions. Their catalogue mixes original material with well-known reworkings, including their take on the Banana Splits theme. Across the decades they have released numerous albums and toured internationally, remaining a fixture of live punk shows in Europe.
