About
Thizzy52 is a Congolese rapper born in Kinshasa who now lives in Kelmis, a Belgian municipality right on the German border near Aachen. He originally aimed for a professional football career but gave it up after a cruciate ligament tear, releasing his first song "Thizzy vom Block" in December 2021. His debut album "Rebell" followed in 2023, and in 2024 he performed at the Splash! festival. His breakthrough came in 2025 with the track "Mayi", which entered the German singles charts, and he was named best national newcomer at the Hiphop.de Awards 2025. His music blends trap and hip-hop with elements of the Congolese Ndombolo style.
