TOPAS is the stage name of German magician and illusionist Thomas Fröschle, born on 20 July 1972 in Stuttgart-Plieningen. At just 18 he won first prize in the Manipulation category at the World Championship of Magic in Lausanne, becoming the youngest award winner in the history of the art. In 1991 he received the “Golden Wand” at the Grand Prix Magiques de Monte-Carlo, one of the highest honours in variety theatre. His career has taken him to international stages from London and Paris to Las Vegas, New York, Beijing and Yokohama. Today he stages full-length illusion shows, often together with his partner Roxanne, increasingly blending magic with comedy.
