Tovte is an award-winning instrumental quintet from Cologne, Germany, known for its klezmer-fusion sound. The group formed in the summer of 2012 as a buskers band around clarinettist Tobias Gubesch, and an early invitation to play at a Jewish wedding in Cologne's synagogue sparked its journey into the world of klezmer. Its members are Tobias Gubesch (clarinet), Nathalie Litzner (viola), Anna Neubert (violin), Leonhard Spies (guitar) and Silas Eifler (double bass). The five musicians blend influences from klezmer and jazz manouche with pop and classical music into a distinctive style.
