About
UDOPIA – in full "UDOPIA & das volle Programm" – is a German tribute show dedicated to the work of Udo Lindenberg. Its frontman is the Wuppertal singer René Oschmann, who has performed as "Panik-Udo" since 2012 and has run the UDOPIA project since 2016. Oschmann has met Lindenberg in person several times and appeared alongside him in an episode of the ARD crime series "Tatort". The backing band is made up of professional musicians, among them former members and touring musicians of Blind Guardian and Udo Dirkschneider (Accept, U.D.O.), as well as instrumentalists from German-language musical productions. The show has been touring clubs and cultural venues in the German-speaking countries for more than ten years.
