Clemens Sels Museum

Am Obertor, Neuss

The Clemens Sels Museum Neuss traces its origins to the local history association founded in 1839 and grew out of the municipal antiquities museum established in 1845. Reopened in 2015 after extensive renovation, it now combines archaeological finds from the Roman legionary camp of Novaesium with an art collection ranging from the Middle Ages and Baroque to works by the Nazarenes, Pre-Raphaelites and Symbolists.
