Fühlinger See

Fühlinger See in Cologne-Fühlingen is a series of connected lakes created from a former gravel pit, opened as a sports and recreation facility in 1978 and covering around 200 hectares. Its 2.3-kilometre regatta course is used by clubs, schools, universities and elite athletes, hosted the 1998 World Rowing Championships, and regularly stages competitions in rowing, canoeing, triathlon, dragon boat racing and obstacle running.
