The Evangelische Hauptkirche Rheydt in Mönchengladbach was built between 1899 and 1902 to designs by Berlin architect Johannes Otzen as a cross-shaped Neo-Romanesque hall church, replacing a medieval predecessor on the same site. Today it serves as the centre of Rheydt's city-church work, hosting services, concerts, exhibitions and tower tours.
