The Kinder- und Jugendtheater (KJT) is Theater Dortmund's dedicated stage for young audiences, founded back in 1953 and one of the oldest theatres of its kind in Germany. Led by Andreas Gruhn, the ensemble performs at its own venue on Sckellstraße, away from the city centre, seating around 200 and staging everything from classics to contemporary drama for children, teenagers and families.
