Kunstsammlung NRW K20

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen is the art collection of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, spread across three venues: K20 at Grabbeplatz, K21 in the Ständehaus, and the Schmela Haus. K20 is dedicated to twentieth-century art, presenting over 200 works from 1904 to 2023 across 25 rooms, with a focus on Paul Klee, German Expressionism, Cubism and Surrealism alongside works by Picasso, Kandinsky and Beckmann. Since November 2024 the display has been expanded by 800 square metres, with five new rooms showing more than 30 large-scale works from the North Rhine-Westphalia Collection.
