Maxhaus

Schulstraße 11, Düsseldorf· 7 events

Maxhaus is a Catholic meeting and event venue in Düsseldorf's Carlstadt district, standing right next to the Maxkirche, with which it forms a historic building complex. The baroque brick building traces back to a Franciscan monastery completed in 1661 and today houses the permanent exhibition 'Das verborgene Kloster' along with changing art exhibitions in its cloister. As the seat of the Catholic parish association and city pastoral care, it offers a varied program of faith, lectures, art, and music, complemented by the Klosterhof bistro in its inner courtyard.
