Schloss Rheydt

Schloss Rheydt is a Renaissance moated castle on the Lower Rhine and a major listed building in Mönchengladbach's Rheydt district. Otto von Bylandt had it built between 1558 and 1591 by master builder Maximilian von Pasqualini, and the Bylandt-Rheydt family shaped the area for more than 300 years. The castle is now owned by the city of Mönchengladbach and houses a museum.
