St. Kunibert

St. Kunibert is the last of Cologne's twelve great Romanesque churches to be built, standing near the Rhine in the northern old town. It was consecrated in 1247, a year before construction began on the Gothic Cologne Cathedral, and was declared a minor basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1998; it continues to host regular services as well as occasional concerts.
