Salitos Beach on Lake Hengstey in Hagen opened on 8 June 2024, combining a restaurant, beach bar and lawn area right on the waterfront. On roughly 2,000 square metres of sand beach built with 421 tonnes of sand, plus a 1,200-square-metre lawn, regular live music and parties draw crowds through the summer; the entrance and parking are wheelchair-accessible.
