The Technologie- und Gründerzentrum Wattenscheid was established in 1998 as part of the International Building Exhibition Emscher Park, housed in the listed buildings of the former Zeche Holland colliery in Bochum-Wattenscheid. Alongside offices for founders and young companies, its historic Alte Lohnhalle hall provides space for events such as the WAT-kreativ arts and crafts market.
