Goran Bregović, born in Sarajevo in 1950, is a Bosnian musician and composer and one of the most internationally recognized artists from the Balkans. From 1974 to 1989 he was the guitarist and creative leader of Bijelo Dugme, one of Yugoslavia's most influential rock bands.
