About Johann König

Johann König (real name Johannes Köhn, born 1972 in Soest) is a German comedian and cabaret artist. Since his first appearance at an open mic in Cologne in 1997, he has developed a distinctive style built on his famously cracked voice and deliberately nervous stage persona.

About Grugahalle

Grugahalle is a multi-purpose arena built in 1958 in Essen's Rüttenscheid district, holding up to 10,000 visitors and listed as a protected historic monument since 2000. It belongs to the wider Gruga complex — alongside Grugapark, Grugabad and Messe Essen — and is operated by Messe Essen GmbH.
