About
Acid Bath is an American sludge and doom metal band from Houma, Louisiana, formed in 1991. They released their debut album When the Kite String Pops in 1994, followed by Paegan Terrorism Tactics in 1996. The band was known for blending sludge, doom and other extreme-metal styles, and disbanded in 1997 following the death of bassist Audie Pitre in a car accident. Their two albums remain influential in the sludge and doom scenes.
