Crowbar is an American sludge metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1990. The band is fronted by vocalist and guitarist Kirk Windstein, its sole constant member. Crowbar is regarded as one of the defining acts of the New Orleans sludge sound, combining slow, heavy riffs with hardcore and doom influences. Albums such as the self-titled "Crowbar" (1993) earned the group an international following, and they continue to tour Europe regularly.
