Albrecht Mayer (born 1965 in Erlangen, Germany) is one of the world's most celebrated oboists. He has been principal oboist of the Berlin Philharmonic since 1992, having previously held the same position with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra from 1990. Alongside his orchestral role he pursues an international solo career as a soloist and chamber musician. He has recorded extensively for labels such as Deutsche Grammophon, with a repertoire spanning baroque transcriptions to contemporary works.
