Andreas Gabalier (born 21 November 1984 in Friesach) is an Austrian singer and songwriter who grew up in Graz. After abandoning his law studies, he pioneered a style he calls „Volks-Rock’n’Roller“, blending traditional Alpine folk music with rock and roll. His 2010 album „Herzwerk“ reached number one in Austria, and later records such as „Volks-Rock’n’Roller“ and „Home Sweet Home“ cemented his commercial success. With „Mountain Man“ (2015) he topped the charts in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and he regularly performs in large arenas and stadiums.
