About
Árstíðir is an Icelandic band formed in Reykjavík in 2008, blending classically influenced indie-folk and chamber pop with rich multi-part vocal harmonies. A defining feature of the group is that all of its members sing. They gained widespread international attention in 2013 when an impromptu a cappella performance of a 13th-century Icelandic hymn, filmed in a German train station, went viral on YouTube. Their discography includes albums such as Svefns og vöku skil (2011) and Hvel (2015). The band tours regularly throughout Germany and Europe.
