B.B. & The Blues Shacks are a German blues band founded in 1989 in Lamspringe near Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, centered on brothers Michael Arlt (vocals, harmonica) and Andreas Arlt (guitar). Their sound draws on classic American blues traditions from Chicago, Louisiana and the Delta, blended with rhythm and blues and soul. After their breakthrough at the Breminale festival in 1994, they built a reputation as one of Europe's hardest-touring blues acts, playing thousands of concerts across Germany, Europe, the USA and beyond. They have received several German Blues Awards and twice won the Trophée France Blues as best European blues band.
