Baby Keem, born Hykeem Jamaal Carter Jr. on October 22, 2000 in Carson, California, is an American rapper, record producer and songwriter. He started his career around 2016, initially working as a producer before emerging as a lead artist. His 2019 single "Orange Soda" became a sleeper hit and was followed by his debut album "The Melodic Blue" (2021). His collaboration "Family Ties" with his cousin Kendrick Lamar won Best Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammy Awards. He is signed to PGLang, the label co-founded by Kendrick Lamar, in a joint venture with Columbia Records.
