The Backstreet Boys are an American pop vocal group formed in 1993 in Orlando, Florida. The group consists of AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell, and is regarded as one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. Driven by hits such as "I Want It That Way," "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," and "As Long as You Love Me," they have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Their layered vocal harmonies and catchy pop hooks helped define the sound of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
