About
Barbara Fuchs is a choreographer and artistic director who founded the label tanzfuchs PRODUKTION in Cologne in 2003. She has been creating pieces for young audiences since 2009 and is regarded as one of the pioneers of that field in Germany. Working closely with composer Jörg Ritzenhoff, she makes installations and stage productions that interweave movement, composition and spatial design. Tours have taken the company to Finland, Norway, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Lithuania and Japan, and she has directed guest productions in Dresden and Karlsruhe. Since 2019 tanzfuchs PRODUKTION has been the only dance ensemble to receive top-level funding for children's and youth theatre from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
