About
David Rolland is a French choreographer and dancer. He works mainly on participatory pieces in which the audience is guided through headphones and dances along. His piece "Hit Hip Pop Classic Parade" is conceived as a ball: two dancers lead the way through a medley of classical, operatic, pop, rap and disco music while the audience follows the instructions delivered over the headsets. The musical material ranges from Bach, Bizet and Mozart to Claude François, Village People, Nas and Fairuz. The work is produced by the association ipso facto danse, with Anne Reymann, David Rolland and Rodolphe Toupin as performers.
