About

Wodo Puppenspiel is a puppet theatre company from Mülheim an der Ruhr that, by its own account, has been performing since 1983. The name comes from its founders, Wolfgang Kaup-Wellfonder and Dorothee Wellfonder. The company describes itself as a touring theatre with a permanent home stage at the Ringlokschuppen in Mülheim, and it also plays in theatres, community centres, nurseries, schools and care homes. Depending on the piece, it works with marionettes, hand puppets or tabletop figures. Its repertoire ranges from contemporary children's books such as Conni and Mama Muh to classics including Pippi Longstocking and Das Sams.
