Bausa, born Julian Otto in Saarbrücken in 1989, lives today in Bietigheim-Bissingen, where he records in his own studio. He plays guitar and piano, and first turned heads through features with Capo and Haftbefehl. Then came "Was du Liebe nennst" in 2017, an outlier of a hit: it sat at the top of the German singles chart for weeks and became the first German-language rap single certified diamond. The albums Dreifarbenhaus (2017), Fieber (2019), 100 Pro (2021), Der Letzte macht das Licht aus (2023) and Der Faktor Mensch (2025) followed. His signature remains the blend of rapped verses and hooks he sings himself.
