Callejon is a German metalcore band founded in Düsseldorf in 2002. The name comes from Spanish and means "narrow alley". Unlike many of their genre peers, the band writes and sings most of its lyrics in German, pairing heavy riffs and screamed vocals with catchy, melodic choruses. Around their early albums the group coined the tongue-in-cheek label "Zombiecore" for itself, a nod to the horror and zombie imagery in their songs.
