Electric Callboy come from Castrop-Rauxel in the Ruhr area and have been going since 2010, until 2022 under the name Eskimo Callboy — dropped once the band accepted the word is a slur. Their music welds metalcore riffs to eurodance synths and unashamed pop hooks, a formula that turned "Hypa Hypa" (2020) and "We Got the Moves" (2021) into YouTube phenomena and sent the album Tekkno (2022) straight to number one in Germany. "Ratatata", recorded with Babymetal in 2024, carried them into Japan and the US charts. On stage they are as much a comedy troupe as a metal band: matching costumes, choreographed dance breaks, confetti. The album Tanzneid arrived in August 2026 and gives the world tour its name.
