Christine Thürmer

Christine Thürmer (born 1967) is a German long-distance hiker, bestselling author and stage speaker. After a career in management, she gave up her previous life in 2007 to devote herself entirely to thru-hiking, cycling and paddling. By her own account she has covered more than 70,000 kilometres on foot across some 40 countries and is billed as the "most-walked woman in the world." Her books, which reached the Spiegel bestseller list, including "Laufen. Essen. Schlafen." and "Weite Wege Wandern," combine travel experiences with practical advice. On stage she shares her adventures with wit and honesty.
