About

Citizen are an American alternative rock band formed in 2009 in the area between Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio. Fronted by vocalist Mat Kerekes, the band pairs emotive songwriting with a sound that moves between emo, post-hardcore and heavier alternative rock. Signed to Run for Cover Records, they broke through with their 2013 debut album "Youth" and have since released further records including "As You Please" (2017), "Life in Your Glass World" (2021) and "Calling the Dogs" (2023). They tour regularly across North America and Europe.
