dArtagnan is a German folk-rock band founded in 2015 in Nuremberg. The group blends medieval-flavored instruments such as bagpipes, violin and mandolin with modern rock and German-language lyrics. Its members are Ben Metzner (vocals, bagpipes and other instruments), Tim Bernard (guitar, vocals) and, since 2018, Gustavo Strauss (violin, vocals). Their debut album "Seit an Seit" (2016) reached number 7 on the German charts and was certified Gold, while "Herzblut" (2024) climbed to number 3. In 2017 the band was named Newcomer of the Year at the Die Eins der Besten awards.
