Deafheaven is an American band formed in San Francisco in 2010 by vocalist George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy. They are considered pioneers of blackgaze, a style blending black metal, shoegaze and post-rock. Their 2013 album "Sunbather" earned widespread critical acclaim and was among the best-reviewed albums of that year, marking their breakthrough. The band has since released several more studio albums, including "Lonely People With Power" (2025).
