About
Die Legende von Nord formed in 2015 near Göttingen and calls its own music “Nordic metal”: German-language horror stories set to song, pitched somewhere between dark rock and heavy metal and carried by heavy riffs and a lot of groove. The five-piece, fronted by singer Emu, sums up its approach in three words — hard, cold, loud. The 2019 album “Magie und Melodie / Tod und Spiele” gathered two previously digital-only EPs into one release, with lyrics about industrial accidents, shipwrecks and final moments. The band is touring extensively on the “Frost” tour in 2026, including North Rhine-Westphalia dates at Helvete in Oberhausen and Club Volta in Cologne.
