Isabelle Faust (born 19 March 1972 in Esslingen am Neckar) is a German classical violinist. After studying with Christoph Poppen and Dénes Zsigmondy, she won the International Leopold Mozart Competition in 1987 and the Premio Paganini in Genoa in 1993. Her first recording of Béla Bartók's sonatas earned her Gramophone magazine's Young Artist of the Year award in 1997. Since then she has performed internationally with renowned orchestras and conductors, among them Claudio Abbado, and is known for her wide-ranging repertoire.
