About
James Marriott, born on 7 July 1997 in Kilchberg, Switzerland and raised in Buckinghamshire, is an English musician who first built an audience on YouTube. After years of pop-culture commentary videos and Twitch streams he stepped back from the platform to focus on music, releasing his debut single "Slow Down" in 2020 and the EPs "No Left Brain" and "Bitter Tongues". His first album, "Are We There Yet?", reached No. 17 on the UK Albums Chart in 2023, and his second, "Don't Tell the Dog", went to No. 1 in 2025. His sound is generally described as indie rock, with Foals and The Strokes cited as key influences. A third album, "Warning Signs", is set for release in January 2027.
